Zomba Diocese launches Strategic Plan and celebrates World Day of Consecrated Life

As a national event, a cross-section of religious men and women and the clergy from across Malawi, turned up to attend the function.

In his homily during the Eucharistic celebration, Bishop Chaima urged the consecrated men and women to be light to the world and that they should live a life of witness to Jesus Christ who called them to His mission as they fulfill the vows of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience.

He said that more than anything, these vows are designed to facilitate the freedom to pursue fullness of relationship with God and the capacity to love and care for souls entrusted to them.

He also encouraged them to always continue to be inspired by Jesus Christ and respond generously to God’s gift of their vocation. He then urged the faithful to always pray for all those who have made commitments in the consecrated life.
