
Chakwera congratulates Bishop Chaima
His
Excellency the State President of the Republic of Malawi, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera,
says he benefits a lot from the counsel he receives from Catholic Bishops in the
country.
President
Chakwera was speaking at Zomba Catholic Secondary School ground at the
consecration ceremony of Very Rev. Alfred Mateyu Chaima as Bishop of the
Catholic Diocese of Zomba.
He
said that the advice he gets from these men of God are richer than any other
advice he can get from anyone. He added that the advice helps him to make some
good decisions in different areas of his leadership.

In
his speech, the newly consecrated Bishop, His Lordship Alfred Mateyu Chaima,
called upon priests, the religious and the faithful in the Diocese to joint
hands in proclaiming the Gospel and building a self-reliant Church.
The
Vice President, Dr. Saulos Chilima, Cabinet Ministers and Catholic Bishops also
attended the ceremony.
